EF Schumacher’s ‘Small Is Beautiful - looking at Economics As If People Mattered’ transformed my way of thinking even more. I was also inspired by Buckminster Fuller, Victor Papanak and James Lovelock to design in a way that is not just about feasibility, aesthetics or marketability, but about taking responsibility as a designer for the material longevity of otherwise expendable products.
